Smith & Wesson Model 629 .44 Magnum

I liked my father's old Model 29 .44 Magnum a great deal, but that was "his" pistol. Even though he's passed away and bequethed it to me. It will always be "his".

This one is MINE. All mine.

I chose stainless steel for all-weather practicality, and the 6" barrel for greater ease of carry versus the longer barrel on the 29.

This one came stock with nice, rubberized grips to mitigate the powerful recoil impulse of the magnum cartridge.

A .44 Magnum revolver is a pistol every man should own.

It's not a virility, dick-size, or testosterone thing, more like a Steve McQueen/Double-clutching a Mustang in "Bullitt" kinda thing.

"Cool".
